Seabirds II
Gulls, seagulls, seabirds are general terms often used for birds seen around coastlines. However there are many different species but their similarity makes identification difficult sometimes, especially with the addition of immature birds and those in winter plummage. Probably the most common gull seen is the herring gull, not the common gull despite its name, but the herring gull can be anything from pure white with grey to mottled brown. Aside from gulls there are also many other types of seabirds such as puffins, cormorants and gannets, which are much easier to spot.
