This was my interpretation of the famous Jaguar XKE, based on the lightweight aerodynamic version. Best known as the Jaguar E-type it was once hailed by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car ever made. So I set about building it in Rhino 3D. I felt if I could replicate it accurately then I could design and build anything, however difficult, in future. The complex curves especially around the nose and hardtop were as expected a challenge and I'm not sure I managed to do them total justice. However, I was happy overall with the final result and it certainly taught me a thing or two about modelling.
For reference I downloaded technical drawings and photos from the Internet. The technical drawings were far from accurate but by combining several together and taking mean measurements I got close enough to the original and as I intended changing some areas to cater for my own taste it was never going to be 100% exact.
Below is an animated version generated in Rhino 3D showing all sides.
