Basilica de la Sagrada Familia

Antoni Gaudi's awe inspiring catherdral in Barcelona has to be seen to be believed. Still under construction, after many decades, it has to be one of the world's most impressive works of art. Walking around it is one thing, as it changes in every view, but even more impressive are some of its details, which cannot be appreciated at ground level without binoculars or a telephoto lens.

The detail photo below does not really do justice to the incredible design and work that must have gone into creating the unique spires, each one with jewel-like facets embedded with tiny coloured tiles, typical of Gaudi's style.
