Cicadas galore

Walking through a forest in Taiwan I was surrounded by trees full of these cicadas making a deafening noise. It was a creepy experience and I only encountered it once on this scale, despite numerous trips into forests. Cicadas can be so loud sometimes that all conversation must halt till they pipe down. They also seemed to lack the coordination that other insects possess, frequently bouncing off me while in flight.
