On my last visit to Changhua in 2019 this street was fairly quiet but several years earlier, when I took this photo, it was a struggle to make any sort of headway down it. Pedestrians joined scooters, cars, trucks and buses in one great mass of chaos. Amazingly, despite the traffic, everything moved surprisingly smoothly, even at junctions where there were no traffic lights or even halt signs.
