This was my very first attempt at a 3D model. It was created using Alias Wavefront software while working for a German engineering company. This was the very beginning of 3D computer modelling in car design studios and rendering models took a long time. In fact even for such a model using the latest high powered Prime computer, the computer often had to be left working overnight to complete a rendering. We have come a long way since then as a 3D model could not even be rotated in real time when rendered. That can now be done on a personal smartphone! I don't think anyone could have predicted that in 1989, other than a few futurists like Sid Mead who might have suggested the possibility in a painting or cartoon.
